We all should've known this beautiful lodge, was 180 degrees from the mountain. We should've known the dung beetle spotted on the dining room floor was a metaphor for what we'd all feel like. We should've looked deep into the eyes of the friendly staff because behind the warm smiles and enthusiastic jambos they were telling us, "You're going to climb Kilimanjaro? Ha ha ha."
